Discover the very best of Porto on a private tour designed to unveil the soul of this UNESCO-listed city

A tour packed with Baroque churches, imposing Neoclassical buildings, a cruise along the Douro River, and a Port wine tasting. We’ll pick you up at your hotel and begin by visiting the city’s cathedral and the nearby D. Luís I Bridge, a fantastic spot for panoramic photos of Porto’s Ribeira district. Highlights include the 15th-century Baroque Santa Clara Church and São Bento train station, ranked one of the six most beautiful in the world, known for its stunning blue-and-white tile murals that illustrate Portugal’s history.

We’ll stop at the Palácio da Bolsa to admire the breathtaking Arab Room and the grand staircase, then continue to the Ferreira Borges Market, now a vibrant cultural space with bars, restaurants, and events. Just around the corner is the Gothic Church of St. Francis, famous for its opulent golden interior. In Ribeira, the colorful houses and narrow streets contrast beautifully with the grey ironwork of the D. Luís Bridge. Here, you can opt for a scenic Douro River cruise or enjoy a relaxing moment at a riverside café before lunch.

In the afternoon (for the full-day option), we’ll visit the Port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia for a guided tour and tasting. Then, take the cable car up to Serra do Pilar for breathtaking views over the Douro and city skyline. We’ll stop at the iconic Clérigos Tower for a 360º view over the city, and right across the street, you’ll find the old city jail, now the Portuguese Centre of Photography. Before we return, we’ll explore the famous Lello Bookshop, admired for its Art Nouveau staircase, visit the intricate Carmo Church, and end the day at Passeio das Virtudes park, a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset over the Douro River.
